Garlic Powder
The fresh garlic bulbs are dried and ground to make garlic powder. There is an enormous advantage to using powder over fresh garlic; the main benefit is that it is less likely to burn. When you need to add garlic flavor to something that you're baking, you are best off using the powder form. Garlic powder is an excellent choice if we are talking about dry rubs for meats and vegetables. Whenever garlic is merely a flavor component in a soup, dip, or sauce, rather than a fresh garlic, you can use powder.
